You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; being a Certified Attorney and Notary is a must.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with US and LATAM clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles in the US and LATAM region.
  • Proven experience managing NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and Change Orders within a commercial risk management structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate client dynamics, build credibility with counterpart counsel, and deliver legally sound, business-oriented solutions under tight timelines.
  • Proficiency using legal technology tools, including AI-based contract review systems, CLM platforms, and document automation software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify legal risks and propose strategic, business-oriented solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Operations).
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Sales.
  • Ability to adapt in a tech-driven, fast-paced, and compliance-oriented environment.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with clients across the US and LATAM region.
  • Serve as the primary legal liaison to clients' legal departments, ensuring seamless communication, efficient contract negotiations, fostering trust and long-term strategic relationships.
  • Ensure risk management compliance through consistent use of the company’s RACI and Commercial Risk Matrix.
  • Manage the Legal Affairs ticketing system, meeting all internal SLA and compliance standards.
  • Provide strategic day-to-day legal advice to Sales and Customer Success Managers (CSMs).
  • Maintain and improve the company’s contract management system, ensuring agility, automation, and full compliance.
  • Leverage AI and legal tech to drive efficiency, compliance, and process innovation across all legal workflows.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams on KYC validation, payment terms, and negotiation implications.
  • Maintain an average SLA of 3 days or less for contract drafting and reviews (MSAs/SOWs).
