About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java software development, with strong proficiency in Java EE and legacy software.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across backend and frontend environments.
  • Experience working in support environments handling ticket queues, responding to incidents and alerts, and participating in control callouts for critical issues.
  • Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and experience with AngularJS or modern Angular frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with JBoss and Apache server configuration and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database management and optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all phases of development and support.
  • Fluency in English (C1 level), with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both technical and conversational contexts.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line for basic operations.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt internal client tools, such as Splunk and New Relic.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus; certification is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of Bash scripting is considered a plus.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough analysis and provide time estimations for development tasks.
  • Communicate progress and updates concisely, ensuring clear and punctual status reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, ensuring strong communication and cooperation.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
  • Maintain fluent English communication, both conversational and technical, to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.
