This project involved developing a next-generation procurement system for a leading provider of automated supply chain solutions in the aircraft C&E (Components & Equipment) parts market. We built a web-based platform that streamlines the entire procurement process, from managing customer quotations and purchase orders to facilitating direct connections with suppliers and logistics companies. This integration aims to optimize costs and ensure efficient delivery timelines within the complex aerospace industry.

Our approach

In need of developing a system for managing quotations and purchase orders, Applaudo created a solution that would seamlessly connect suppliers and logistics, optimizing costs and delivery dates.

The project presented significant challenges, including adapting the business model to a scalable and maintainable system, implementing aeronautical industry standards, and managing complex functional tests due to numerous business regulations.

 

The Applaudo team designed a flexible architecture that could scale with the client’s evolving needs, ensuring sustainability and maintainability. To meet aeronautical industry standards, we integrated specific protocols and compliance measures, ensuring adherence to all necessary regulations. Addressing the complexity of functional tests, we implemented a robust testing strategy with automated scripts and rigorous quality assurance, ensuring the system could handle diverse regulatory requirements without compromising performance. The system significantly increased the number of quotations and the percentage of order processing, boosting operational efficiency, and allowing the client to evolve its business regulations independently, and adapt to changes swiftly. Response times to end users were optimized, enhancing service efficiency.

 

Applaudo’s best practices included improved application flexibility, implementation of industry best practices, and a marked increase in the number and processing of quotations. Through innovative design and rigorous testing, we delivered a highly efficient, flexible, and scalable solution that optimized our client’s operations and positioned them for future growth.
